Link for Marching Band Calendar: Plymouth Marching Band Calendar Please follow us on Twitter @PlymouthBands and @PSHS_Bands On Facebook like us at Plymouthbands And invite friends to join Marching Band as well! We are looking forward to a great season- and it starts with all of you! See you soon- Mrs. Bonnie Holmes Band Director We are excited to announce that the Plymouth High Schools Marching Band Show for the 2018-2019 school year is entitled, "Uprising." The show is composed/arranged by Matt Hightower with percussion by Josh Powell. "Uprising" is a timely tale of rebellion against an overbearing authority. The music for the show contrasts the defiant music of English hard rockers Muse with a timeless melody by Stephen Foster. You can hear the music and check out the show concept at the following link: johnfanninmusic.com/product/uprising/ Be sure to check out our show at a football game or at the competition we are hosting in the fall! Great job this past Saturday at the Humarock Horribles Parade in Scituate! The fun parade officially kicks off our marching band season and is a great way to get started. Thank you to all the students who committed time on their Labor Day weekend to participate!
Going forward, we have a lot on the calendar. This Friday, September 8th is our first football game for the season. It is at North this week and call time is at 5:30pm. For those of you who don't have marching shoes yet, please wear the darkest pair of sneakers you own (black is preferable if you have a pair of black sneakers). Front ensemble students who do not have marching shoes can wear sneakers or black dress shoes. Please be sure to check the marching band calendar regularly (it can be found under the Marching Band tab). We will be updating it throughout the season. Please try to check it at least once a week, if not more often. As of today, our football games and competitions are all listed in the calendar. Please note that times for these may change slightly. We will get more accurate times as each event approaches. Also, please be sure to check the location for the football games. They can change weekly! See you all on Thursday for our regular 5:30-8:00 rehearsal. Let's keep this good momentum going into our first football game! Welcome to the new home of the Plymouth High Schools band! You will find information on this website for the Plymouth High Schools Marching Band, Winter Percussion, Winter Guard and both North and South High School bands.
