Thanks to everyone who joined us for to celebrate the students at the marching band banquet last night and congratulations to all on a great season! We're on to winter!
The winter guard had a great performance at the Winter Guard Evaluation Show in Salem, MA. Their show is titled, "Toxic" and uses the song of the same name by Britney Spears. Winter percussion is starting off strong with a group of 16 students. The group is performing a concert percussion show this year entitled, "Serengeti" by Chris Crockarell. Both groups will compete later this month at Dartmouth High School on February 23rd, then on March 17th at Somerset Berkley, March 24th at Shepherd Hill and each group will compete at their own finals competitions. Good luck! Camp rehearsals are Monday, August 13- Friday, August 17, from 12:30-9:00 pm each day. These rehearsals take place at Plymouth North High School. Students should be dropped off and picked up from the back side of the building. There is an outside entrance to the Band Room.

We are looking forward to a great season- and it starts with all of you! See you soon- Mrs. Bonnie Holmes Band Director We are excited to announce that the Plymouth High Schools Marching Band Show for the 2018-2019 school year is entitled, "Uprising." The show is composed/arranged by Matt Hightower with percussion by Josh Powell. "Uprising" is a timely tale of rebellion against an overbearing authority. The music for the show contrasts the defiant music of English hard rockers Muse with a timeless melody by Stephen Foster. You can hear the music and check out the show concept at the following link: johnfanninmusic.com/product/uprising/ Be sure to check out our show at a football game or at the competition we are hosting in the fall! |
